Apply sunscreen before leaving home. Sailors should have it with them at the lake aswell. We recommend SPF 45. Minimum SPF 15.

Providea water bottle foreach sailor. To avoid dehydrationon hot days, sailors mustdrink plenty of water.

Swimming Skills: Sailors must be comfortable in the water and able to swim without a life jacket. Sailors will be given a swim test – they must tread water for one minute and swim 50 feet while wearing a life jacket.

Behavior: We expect students to follow certain rules that promote the safety of all. Parents will be notified of persistent problems with their child's behavior. Those students who continue to be disruptive may be asked to leave. There are no refunds for cases such as these.

Drop Off and Parking Location: You will find the Green Lake Sailing School at our convenient location on County Highway A, directly to the North of Sunset Park, on the East end of Green Lake. Parking is plentiful.

Bad Weather: We sail when weather permits, but safety comes first. In the event of rain or storms, we may cancel the class or postpone the starting time. If bad weather develops after the start of class, we will get sailors off the lake and continue on-land instruction. If a storm prevents continuation of sailing, we will have your sailor call you (or the person designated on your registration) to be picked up. Have a backup plan if you will not be available.

Makeup Policy: We do not guarantee that students will sail every day. If we face high winds, storms, or no wind, we will have onshore activities. There is no makeup f or such days.

Payment: Students are not considered registered until we receive full tuition fees. Space in classes is on a first-come basis.

Cancellation Policy: If you need to withdraw from a class, a full refund will be made until two weeks before the start of the class; a 50% refund until one week before the class; no refund after that time. If you are able to find a replacement to enroll in the class, we will make a full refund.
